ICOF Colleges Seminary and Universities is a Christian institution of learning which has been providing tertiary education since 1932 with presence in over 89 Countries. ICOF Africa Campus has partnered with the Government of the Republic of Zambia to provide free tertiary education to over 5000 youths per year at Diploma level under Community Scholarships Programme (CSP) which started in March 2022. In order to implement this mandate, the ICOF now wishes to fill up the following vacant positions:

ADMINISTRATION DIRECTORATE

1. BURSAR/CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (01 POSITIONS) LUSAKA ZAMBIA

(i) Job Purpose Reporting to the University Registrar, the Bursar/Chief Financial Officer will assist Management in the preparation and coordination of all accounting work for GRZ-ICOF Education Program. The Chief Financial Officer will also ensure that all relevant books of accounts are accurately maintained and that the requisite information is promptly availed to management and in a suitable format.

(ii) Key Responsibilities and result areas

• Receiving cash and banking it promptly;

• Initiating payments in line with approved budget line;

• Maintaining Petty Cash and filing all accounting documents and correspondence;

• Initiating Journal entries and Updating the Cash Book;

• Sending both hard & soft copies of all deposit slips of revenue and incomes;

• Sending copies of retirement of funds received for various projects and operations;

• Perform banks reconciliations ,cash and petty cashbooks;

• Update the Regional fixed assets register on regular basis;

• Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports;

• Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

(1) Qualifications and Attributes

• Grade Twelve (12) Certificate

• Diploma in Finance, Accountancy, or related field or

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in finance or a related field.

• ACCA level 2

• CIMA level 2; or

• NATECH or;

• ATD or equivalent.

• Registered Member of the Zambia Institute of Certified Accountants (ZICA)

2. HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER LUSAKA ZAMBIA

Job Purpose • Planning, controlling and co-ordinating the human resource function with the view of acquiring and retaining quality employees to meet ICOF objectives.

• Implement all human resource policies and procedures on issues like working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures, and absence management.

• Work closely with various departments, increasingly in an advisory role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures.

• Recruit staff, which involves developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing, and selecting candidates.

• Plan and ensure systematic induction for all new employees.

• Maintain personal files and update them regularly.

• Track the attendance of all staff as per Company requirements and communication.

• Track leave database, eligibility, availed and closing balances of leaves.

• Coordinate and manage a wide range of employee engagement activities on regular basis.

• Advise on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits

• Negotiate with staff and their representatives (for example, trade union officials) on issues relating to pay and conditions, contracts, and redundancy packages

• Administer payroll and maintain employee records

• Interpret and advise on employment law.

• Deal with grievances and implement disciplinary procedures

• Plan and sometimes deliver training.

• Analyse training needs in conjunction with departmental managers.

• Undertake other works as maybe assigned from time to time.

(2) Qualifications and Attributes

• Grade 12 certificate

• Minimum of a Diploma in human resources management or related field.

• Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience.

• Should be a member of Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) with a valid practicing license.

3. ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN (01 POSITIONS) LUSAKA ZAMBIA

(i) Job Purpose Reporting to the University Registrar, the Assistant Librarian will assist Management in the preparation and coordination of all accounting work for GRZ-ICOF Education Program. The Assistant Librarian will also ensure that all relevant learning material and text books are in order and keep records of books taken by students.

(1) Qualifications and Attributes

• Grade Twelve (12) Certificate

• Diploma in Library and information studies, or related field

2. Terms and Conditions Employment:

Full Time on three Years Contract
